Wales & West Utilities will be carrying out some essential work in the Bridge End Road area of Swindon.
The work will start on 6 January on Bridge End Road and they will also be working on Gipsy Lane and Swindon Road. Barring any engineering difficulties, they expect to be finished by 1 March 2020.
To keep the local community, road users and Wales & West Utilities colleagues safe, Bridge End Road and Gipsy Lane will be closed whilst we’re working. There will be access only for local residents and businesses. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
The Wales & West Utilities team will be visiting local businesses to let them know what to expect while we are working. All local businesses will be open as usual and trade deliveries will accommodated where possible.
This essential gas pipe investment work is part of Wales & West Utilities multi-million-pound 30 year gas pipe investment programme across the south west of England and Wales. Old metal gas pipes within 30 metres of buildings are being upgraded to new, long lasting plastic ones. They are spending £1.4 million on this programme every week to keep the gas flowing and make sure your gas network is fit for the future.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Reece Emmitt on 07890629500 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wales & West Utilities appreciate this work may, at times, be inconvenient, but it really is essential to make sure that they keep the gas flowing to homes and businesses in the area and you and your family are safe and warm for generations to come.
