Stratton Festival Dog Show

Stratton St Margaret Parish Council is very pleased to announce that they will be joined by Drove Vets at this year’s Stratton Festival taking place on Saturday 16 July 2016 as part of their weekend programme of activities, taking place at Grange Leisure, Grange Drive, Swindon, SN3 4JY.

Drove Vets are very passionate about helping, supporting and participating in community events and are really excited to be running the Stratton Festival Dog Show again this year. They will be joined by various friendly dogs throughout the event and are encouraging all canine friends to get involved this year.

They are looking for all different kinds of dogs of all shapes and sizes, whether that be Scruffy, Posh, Young or Old! Whether you have two legs or four, the Drove Vets Dog Show at Stratton Festival is great entertainment for all the family!

Starting the show off at 2.00pm there will be various competitions which loveable pooches can get involved in. Entries from 1.00pm on the day will be accepted. Look out for the Pink Gazebos. There is a fee of £3.00 per class per dog with all proceeds going to charity.

There will be ten very different classes which will include something for ‘all dogs’ to enter, with rosettes and fabulous prizes for 1st – 4th places in each class.
A ‘Best in Show’ finale to finish, but all entrants will get a stunning rosette to take home, so no one will leaves empty ‘Pawed’! (Classes listed below – arrive 30 minutes before the class time).

2.00 pm – Class 1 – Glamorous Girlie
2.20 pm – Class 2 – Loveable Lad
2.40 pm – Class 3 – Puppy Love (for puppies under 6 months of age)
3.00 pm – Class 4 – Adorable Adolescent (dogs 6 months – 2 years)
3.10 pm – Class 5 – Sensational Senior (dogs over 8 years old)
3.20 pm – Class 6 – Marvellous Mutt (for dogs of mixed breed)
3.40 pm – Class 7 – Best child handler (for children under 16 years)
4.00 pm – Class 8 – Remarkable Rescue
4.10 pm – Class 9 – Fabulous Family Dog
4.20 pm – Class 10 – Happiest Hound
4.40 pm – Winner of each class automatically qualifies for Best In Show

The Parish Council is delighted to have Drove Vets on board again this year, inviting all local residents and their four-legged friends to join in the fun at this year’s Stratton Festival.
