Major maintenance on A419 southbound

A message from Road Management Services (Gloucester) Ltd

Major maintenance on A419 southbound between White Hart and Commonhead Roundabouts

Highways England operates, maintains and improves England’s motorways and major A roads. I am writing to let you know we will shortly be carrying out essential maintenance on the A419 southbound carriageway between White Hart Roundabout/A420 and Commonhead Roundabout to make sure that it continues to be safe for motorists to use.

Why are we doing these works?
We are required to ensure this section of the A419, which we manage on behalf of Highways England, is maintained to a safe standard. After carrying out surveys, we found that sections of the southbound carriageway require essential repairs.

What are the benefits to road users?
Our work will provide a safer and smoother journey for road users. We will also be carrying out drainage works, gully cleaning and vegetation clearing. Doing this during the planned closure will reduce the need for future closures.

When is the work taking place?
17 June 2019 – 5 July 2019

Traffic restrictions – check before you travel
