The role of the Clerk to the Council is a permanent non-political appointment. Tracy joined the Parish Council in January 2014 after holding a similar position for 16 years in Hampshire. She is the Council’s statutory Head of Paid Service and Proper Officer and is responsible, for the overall day-to-day management and running of the Council’s services. Tracy also has responsibility for the implementation of Council decisions and for advising on, developing and carrying out the policies of the Council. Tracy is very proud to hold a Masters in Public Administration and a BA (Hons) in Local Policy. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Local Council Management and a member of the Society of Local Council Clerks.

Georgina Morgan-Denn

Georgina deputises for the Clerk to the Council. Georgina joined the Parish Council in May 2013 and has been in her current role since January 2015. She has put her previous marketing and event management experience to good use by developing a ‘sense of place’ for the Parish through strong branding and community events such as the Stratton Festival and Stratton Stroll. Georgina achieved her BA (Hons) in Event Management with Music & Media Industry Management as a ‘mature’ student in 2008. She is now very pleased to be progressing her studies in Local Government administration and is member of the Society of Local Council Clerks.

Emma Freemantle
Finance Officer – Leisure Centre

Emma joined the Parish Council in June 2014 with over 10 years experience in account handling and information analysis. Emma is the Leisure Centre’s Finance Officer. Her main responsibilities are to manage the Centre’s Income and Expenditure and work with the department heads to manage their budgets effectively.

Sandra Kelly
Finance Officer – Parish Council

Sandra joined SSMPC 2 years ago having left her previous job of 19 years. Brings over 35 years of finance and administration experience to the Council. Responsible for managing the finances of the Parish Council, working with budget holders and reporting back to the Finance Committee and Full Council. Processing grant applications bi-annually. Ensuring that all financial regulations and reporting requirements are met. Also responsible for processing payroll. Gained NVQ Level III in Management and passed the Institute of Administrative Management Diploma with distinctions.

Louise joined the Parish Council in May 2016, bringing with her experience of running a busy HR Consultancy within the Council. Louise is responsible for all people issues, including pay and benefits for all staff as well as ensuring that we treat our staff in a fair and equitable manner, in line with Parish Council policies and legislative requirements. Louise is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and has 20 years experience working with teams in hospitality, manufacturing, charity sector and small owner-run businesses.

Johanna Edwards

Johanna joined the Parish Council in January 2016. Johanna is responsible for developing the strategic vision for the Leisure Centre. She joins the council with proven experience of managing events of up to 40,000 delegates at the Harrogate International Centre. Johanna contributes to the Association of Event Organisers industry guide and has a BA (Hons) in History and Politics.

Chris joined the Grange leisure team in September 2014 starting as a Chef. He’s responsible for all aspects of the business to do with food from providing 300 meals a day for local schools to weddings breakfasts on the weekends.

Anne Harris & Gary Turland

Anne Harris
Anne joined the leisure centre in June 1999, and currently manages the Grange Gym and fitness classes. She also is the Steps to Health consultant which works in partnership with Swindon Borough Council and the NHS, with fantastic results and testimonials. Over the past year together with her colleague Gary Turland she has developed a new and exciting programme of fitness classes including Les Mills, Yoga and Clubbercise.

Gary Turland
Gary Joined the Grange Leisure in 2008, shortly after earning a degree in sports Science. Gary has been head Strength and Conditioning Coach for a range of professional athletes. Having also earned qualifications in Sports Massage & Rehab, Advanced functional training and Personal Training qualifications. As well as managing the Grange Gym and fitness classes, Gary also dedicates time to running the junior gym scheme, developed to keep kids active from a early age. Also working alongside Anne, Gary works closely with the GP referral scheme, helping clients overcome a range of injuries and illness, with a fantastic results and testimonials. Splitting time from running the Gym & Fitness area Gary is always looking at new challenges for himself and clients such as climbing Ben Nevis for charity, and boot camps and other new exciting ventures.

David Boase

David joined the Parish Council in November 2015, and is responsible for the management and development of Parks and Open Spaces across the Parish. No stranger to the management of Parks and Open Spaces, David was previously responsible for the 5 time Green Flag award winning Stanton Country Park and Local Nature Reserve, as well as a number of other parks, open spaces and reserves across Swindon Borough. David is in the final year of study for his BSc (Hons) in Environmental Studies.
